NEW TO PRAYER?
For people who have never prayed before, it can be intimidating. But God invites us to come as we are and share whatever is on our heart. You don’t need to be an expert or use any special language. Just speak to God as you would a friend, knowing that He loves you and wants the very best for you.
You may add your prayer request to our prayer wall using the form below. Once your prayer request is received, we will share it according to your instructions. Feel free to submit as many prayer requests as you like!

10 months ago we asked for prayer for our nephew Nathaniel who had been diagnosed with cancer at the age of 17. Today he passed away peacefully at home and went to be with Jesus. Thank-you for all who have been praying and we ask you would continue to remember his parents and siblings in your prayers.

Please pray for the many challenges facing our Shelter community these days, especially through the current outbreak:
Thank God for the support of additional staff, Public Health and Regional partners, along with the ongoing cooperation of our residents
Ask for healing for those who are ill, and health in our community as a whole
Pray for an increased ability to lean into God for security and peace despite the tension, stress and even chaos sometimes present in the environment of a shelter community
Ask for safety of both residents and staff during a season of increased violence
Pray for perseverance for our team through a heavy and emotionally demanding season

Please pay for my brother, Bryan and his family as he is facing a battle against cancer that humanly speaking does not look like he can win. He is awaiting biopsy results but it looks like he has cancer in his pancreas, liver and lungs. He has 3 children between 11 & 16.
Please pray for a miracle of healing and for strength, courage and hope for him and his family.

We ask for your prayers for a family friend, Jenn, who is a recent university graduate who has been suffering from the effects of post-concussion syndrome for about 3 years. She is suffering greatly with headaches and although she has been very positive through this time, this is having a big impact on her life.

We have previously asked for prayer for our brother Jim who is receiving treatment for a recurrence of Hodgkins Disease and we are so grateful for your prayers. He has been receiving great care. The chemo is working and reducing the cancer. We thank the Lord for that. Tomorrow he is beginning the second part of his treatment; stem cell transplant at the Juravinski Centre. Please pray for strength to continue after weeks of chemo and for his comfort throughout this process. As well please pray for strength for his wife Donna to continue her part and for peace in her heart.

Wanda and family have recuperated quite well from Covid. She is well enough to have hip surgery today which had been cancelled in January due to her virus. Praying all goes well as she is looking forward to chronic pain being dealt with. Her 90+ mom is doing well and regaining strength daily. Thanks for prayers.

Please pray with me for my son Ryan and daughter-in-law as they navigate the financial fallout due to Covid with the loss of more than half of his weekly salary as he continues the same full time hours. Very difficult time as they may lose their home if this work arrangement continues. This couple has seven children ranging from one to seventeen years of age. So many worries and sometimes difficult to remember and embrace the fact that God is in control.
