NEW TO PRAYER?
For people who have never prayed before, it can be intimidating. But God invites us to come as we are and share whatever is on our heart. You don’t need to be an expert or use any special language. Just speak to God as you would a friend, knowing that He loves you and wants the very best for you.
You may add your prayer request to our prayer wall using the form below. Once your prayer request is received, we will share it according to your instructions. Feel free to submit as many prayer requests as you like!
Please pray for the people who are dealing with the effects of Covid 19 alone. The people who have Jesus but who don’t have the family or community support that most of us are blessed to have, especially at a time like this. Lord we know that there is reason to be cautious when around others and there is need to practise social distancing, but Lord please help us to not treat the underprivileged differently than others during a time like this or anytime. Help us to have faith that even while practising the guidelines put before us we don’t need to distance more from people because of factors like their hygiene. You said Lord that when we help the least of us we are helping you,..let us find the courage and the strength to help you Lord and the Faith ti know that you will protect us. You offer us so many doors Father,..doors only we can open,..let us have the eyes to see these doors and the ears to hear you calling us to follow You.
Please Lord shine your light through all who are willing and into all who search for it in the darkness.
Help us to remember that we not alone,..and nor should anyone else be, especially at a time like this.
Thank you Lord for giving ya such a loving community to surround us with your support and love. Thank you for all the blessings, the warm beds to sleep in at night and the hot cup of coffees in the morning. Thank you for all the ways we see you and hear you and are blessed to have such a beautiful relationship with you. Thank you for providing us with the strength and the rest which all brings us closer to you.
Please wrap us all up in your arms and keep us strong as a community and as your people. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen!

Dick's sister Elizabeth lives in Port Hope and was at the hospital today getting iv and a covid19 test. She was at a medical clinic 2 weeks ago and someone there tested positive for the virus. She has had a fever, cough and has been quite ill since Thursday. Please pray for her as she waits for test results and tries to recover at home.

My cousin, Judy is stranded on a cruise ship in the Golf of Panama on the ship called Zaandam. All the healthy passengers have been taken off the ship, but because she has a cough she didn’t pass the medical so she has been confined to her small cabin. The ship is looking to hopefully enter the Panama Canal as they then head to The USA, but this could be denied as the ship has seen a few Covid-19 + patients and 4 have died. This is excruciating for her family and extended family and for all those on board. This vacation started quite awhile ago when we knew life as it was. Please pray for Judy who always looks on the bright side of life and all those with her. Thank you so very very much for your prayers as we pray for her health, her safety and her return to Canada. Thank you Southridge.

Praise for a successful surgery for my friend’s seven month old baby with open heart surgery! She was in ICU for a week after which the pacemaker was removed and yesterday returned home to her family!
Pray that her parents may recognize the power of prayer and turn to the Saviour with praise and gratefulness for what He has done!

My brother was teaching in China and has now been in Indonesia for almost 2 months. He is waiting for his girlfriend's travel visa to come through, so they can return to Canada. Prayers are appreciated for their safe travel to Canada and for them to be able to get here while flights are still open.

Requesting some prayers for a couple of significant things within our family at the moment. My Mum is undergoing some tests to determine what has been causing some long-term chronic pain and the Dr's prognosis is not as positive as we had imagined at this stage. I ask that you please pray for her and our family as it is determined what these issues are and that whatever it may be, can be treated as quickly and as painlessly as possible. We are also facing a potential postponement of our wedding due to COVID-19, only 8 weeks from the big day. I would like to request prayer that things work out, even if they work out in a way that wasn't originally planned. The effect of these changes as we get so close seem to be many so we hope all goes smoothly. In that, I would also request peace, comfort and good health for all others who may have been impacted by the virus in the different ways it has altered plans for many across the world.
