NEW TO PRAYER?
For people who have never prayed before, it can be intimidating. But God invites us to come as we are and share whatever is on our heart. You don’t need to be an expert or use any special language. Just speak to God as you would a friend, knowing that He loves you and wants the very best for you.
You may add your prayer request to our prayer wall using the form below. Once your prayer request is received, we will share it according to your instructions. Feel free to submit as many prayer requests as you like!

Please pray for our shelter community. For the stamina of our staff who have been working in overdrive. Adapting to changing policies, stepping up to fill in volunteer gaps due to limited volunteering and doing so quietly and graciously. They are a frontline team that often is overlooked. Pray for those who struggle with addictions. Those who typically attend AA/NA meetings are now with out counselling and group support due to meetings being cancelled. This is a magnified and looming crisis for many.

I have been filled with a lot of anxiety and uneasiness during this time. There has been a lot of change in my life and more to come in the upcoming months and I fear this uncertainty. I have been finding it very hard to stay at home and I have been lashing out at the ones who love me. Please pray for my peace and acceptance of this situation.

Hi everyone. I would like to place before God Taylor Bartelz and her family. She is a classmate’s sister and she just got diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma about three weeks ago. I pray that God is able to provide for each and every need that she and her family have- after all He knows what they need the most. May He provide healing to Taylor as she starts to attend her chemo sessions, may He give strength and renew faiths. May this family overcome this obstacle as victors and give all the glory to God. Amen.

Hi there. Please join me in praying for all the students who are doing their exams and finalizing their terms; I pray that they are able to prepare sufficiently despite the interruptions. Particularly I would like to pray for my sister Rhoda and cousin Arnold, that they may be able to finish this term successfully and move on to the next semester as victors. Thank you!

An amazing uncle was taken to the hospital last night. Today, he is told that his brain, lungs and basically his whole body is full of cancer. If you pray, please ask God for mercy. To deal with our beloved family member in His best way. No family visits are allowed. We may have physically seen him for the last time in this world. Also, if you're praying, please pray for my beautiful aunt.

Please pray for the people who are dealing with the effects of Covid 19 alone. The people who have Jesus but who don’t have the family or community support that most of us are blessed to have, especially at a time like this. Lord we know that there is reason to be cautious when around others and there is need to practise social distancing, but Lord please help us to not treat the underprivileged differently than others during a time like this or anytime. Help us to have faith that even while practising the guidelines put before us we don’t need to distance more from people because of factors like their hygiene. You said Lord that when we help the least of us we are helping you,..let us find the courage and the strength to help you Lord and the Faith ti know that you will protect us. You offer us so many doors Father,..doors only we can open,..let us have the eyes to see these doors and the ears to hear you calling us to follow You.
Please Lord shine your light through all who are willing and into all who search for it in the darkness.
Help us to remember that we not alone,..and nor should anyone else be, especially at a time like this.
Thank you Lord for giving ya such a loving community to surround us with your support and love. Thank you for all the blessings, the warm beds to sleep in at night and the hot cup of coffees in the morning. Thank you for all the ways we see you and hear you and are blessed to have such a beautiful relationship with you. Thank you for providing us with the strength and the rest which all brings us closer to you.
Please wrap us all up in your arms and keep us strong as a community and as your people. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen!

Dick's sister Elizabeth lives in Port Hope and was at the hospital today getting iv and a covid19 test. She was at a medical clinic 2 weeks ago and someone there tested positive for the virus. She has had a fever, cough and has been quite ill since Thursday. Please pray for her as she waits for test results and tries to recover at home.
